Dear Avi,

Thank you for your interest in presenting a continuing
education workshop for the American Accounting Association’s
2007 Annual Meeting in August. The Faculty Committee
assigned by the Vice-President for Education has approved
your proposal. With demand for CPE sessions at the Annual
Meeting rising steadily in recent years, your efforts to
offer a valuable faculty development opportunity for
colleagues are much appreciated.

Your workshop “Audited Google Video Professors'
e-Store Podcasts"

Is scheduled from 8:00 am to 11:00 am
on Saturday, August 4th, 2007

and your workshop "Assessment CPE Video Podcasts and Blogs
"Hands-on:"

Is scheduled from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm
on Saturday, August 4th, 2007

We would like to clarify the distribution of proceeds from
presenting CPE sessions. Due to the rising costs of food and
beverage, along with audio visual expenses and union labor
fees it is important that you understand that there can be no
guarantee once these elements are deducted from session
proceeds that there will be remaining funds to distribute to
CPE presenters. Please review the attached Information
Sheet for the explanation of distribution of proceeds.

You will be hearing from us several times before August. The
attached 2007 Annual Meeting CPE Presenters Information Sheet
has important details. Updates to this information will be
sent as we get closer to the Annual Meeting regarding audio
visual equipment, number of attendees, recipient’s of
workshop proceeds form and the location of your CPE session.

Presenter Access

All presenters must be paid American Accounting Association
Annual Meeting registrants to present their workshop. All
CPE presenters must have a color-coded CPE name badge to get
into their sessions. Thus, we must have a list of any and
all presenters for your session.

Thank you again, for your interest in presenting a continuing
education workshop for the American Accounting Association’s
Annual Meeting. Your efforts to offer valuable faculty
development opportunities for colleagues are central to the
ongoing success of our continuing education program. Please
feel free to get in touch with me if you have any questions
or concerns related to the upcoming CPE program.

2007 Annual Meeting CPE Presenters

Information Sheet

Distribution of Proceeds from CPE sessions

CPE participants pay $140 to register for full-day sessions
or $75 for half-day sessions.

Costs deducted from the proceeds of each CPE session include:
1) audio-visual or other equipment rental costs, including
union labor ; 2) 20% for AAA administrative costs, and 3) a
pro-rated share of food & beverage costs for the Sunday
workshops. The pro-rated share of lunch will be $20-$30 per
registrant for half-day sessions and the approximate costs
for A/V equipment will be sent to you at the beginning of
July

Any proceeds remaining will be distributed to presenters
after the above costs are deducted. The distribution to
presenters is limited to a maximum of $1,000 for each
half-day workshop or $2,000 for each full-day sessions.

Net proceeds (registration proceeds in excess of the costs
described below) will be distributed either to the sponsoring
session or the presenter(s), as requested on your CPE
proposal form, after the Annual Meeting bill is cleared—by
early October.

Any additional costs incurred in conducting the workshop must
be borne by either the presenter or the sponsoring AAA
section. The AAA will not be responsible for paying any fees
or expenses or distributing any amounts in excess of the net
proceeds from the workshop.

Handouts

The workshop presenter must print materials for distribution
to participants either before or at the time of the workshop
and costs must be covered either by the presenter or the
sponsoring AAA section.

If you feel you have some special needs in this area, please
get in touch with me as soon as possible.

Breaks and lunches

On Saturday and Sunday, common refreshment breaks will be
mid-morning and mid-afternoon. When it gets closer to the
Annual Meeting, we will let you know where and when these
breaks will be held.

On Sunday, lunch will be provided for participants in
full-day CPE sessions and those attending two half-day
sessions during Sunday’s program.

Cancellation of sessions

This happens only rarely, and only in consultation with the
presenter(s), but might happen for several reasons. In
general, workshops should generate sufficient revenues to
cover costs, and depending on the energy required to prepare
materials and content for a session, a presenter might decide
that the number registered is too small, balanced againt the
preparation required.
